The Hot Summer
Last summer when the sun was hot like a bushfire, we jumped off the waterfall, naked. When we got out of the water, we saw someone had stolen our clothes! So, we had to cover ourselves with gum leaves and bark, and because our car had also been stolen, we had to hitch-hike home! We were standing on the side of the road trying to stop our gum leaves from blowing away, we were embarrassed some cars looked like they were going to stop but then sped up again and, other cars just beeped their horns and didn’t stop. We were lucky when a nice old lady stopped for us and she said, “don’t be embarrassed” and took us all the way home.
