Can a carefree wolf shifter and an unbelieving human find true love?
Logan Greig, billionaire wolf and kilt-wearing Scot, arrives in Vegas to make a heist movie set in a casino. He’s the bad boy of his clan, the one voted least likely to settle down. What does he care? He loves women and won’t apologize to anyone for that.
Justine Bell, a dedicated history professor at the University of Vegas and a skeptic to the bone, is hired by Logan Grieg to dress the set with Egyptian antiquities. She dislikes Logan the infamous playboy on principle alone, but with the dean insisting she takes the job, she has no choice.
When one of the ancient relics in the shipment turns out to be a legendary invaluable artifact, Justine throws herself into research to discover more about it. Both she and Logan are amazed to discover that the item is of vital importance to the whole of mankind—it reveals that supernatural creatures have always walked the Earth!
Now, with the clock ticking, the pair must work together as a team. Justine has to find the strength to abandon the safety of the beliefs she clings to, ones that don’t allow her to embrace true love, and Logan must fight to become the man Justine needs him to be. If they can do that, a whole new world awaits them…

Excerpt
Justine
I took a deep breath, adjusted my reading glasses and glanced around at the rapt attention of all the eager freshmen, savoring the moment as I prepared to launch into my speech on the legitimacy of the curses often associated with Egyptian artifacts. This was the most deliciously fun section of the course I taught at the University of Vegas each semester. That the debate would be lively was guaranteed, but my innate skepticism and well-honed ability to stamp out even a hint of superstitious nonsense would lead them down the true path in no time.
Curses.
They were something I knew all too well. Didn’t my mother curse the day my father abandoned us for greener pastures? But far as I knew, he was alive and well and living with his second or maybe his third family in Ohio. Handsome, charming men were all alike, thinking females were easily acquired, then just as easily sloughed off when they developed a wrinkle or added a pound or two.
That was never going to happen to me because my life was all about teaching and writing research papers and creating a circle of friends that guaranteed I wouldn’t ever be lonely. If sometimes I secretly envied when a man and a woman found true love, well, I was better off living with never having had my heart broken.
Falling in love and losing oneself in another sounded like hokum to me, and a waste of energy that could be better spent elsewhere. Like in front of an eager group of young minds, looking for answers to things that were quantifiable and helping them obtain degrees. My biggest hope was leading some of them toward acquiring a teaching degree, a guarantee of a brighter future for all.
“Have any of you heard of Tutankhamun’s Curse?” I asked with a crook of one eyebrow.
