Welcome to the November 29th guest post stop on the blog tour for the The Realm Wardens Series by Bobbi Schemerhorn, organized by Silver Dagger Book Tours. Be sure to follow the rest of the tour for excerpt spotlights, reviews, other guest posts by the author, and a giveaway! (More on that at the end of this post.)
I’m going to turn it over to Bobbi now for the guest post segment, and then I’ll be back to tell you more about the books and author (and that giveaway!)

Can you, for those who don’t know you already, tell something about yourself and how you became an author?
As far back as I can remember I always had a big imagination. I spent a great deal of time on my own when I was a kid, and I would spend that time playing with my Barbie’s, making up stories and taking them on adventures. There are days when I wish I could go back to those simple times! So much to my delight when the Sims came to life! But that is a different story for a different day.

Well then as I moved up through the grades and got older the writing fell away. I took up performing arts in high school but it never quite felt right to me. I thought I wanted to be on stage, but it turned out, not so much.
It wasn’t until around 2008 that a story had come to me. I did a great deal of day dreaming while walking on the treadmill and a whole story and characters just flooded at me. I wrote that story from about 2008 to 2012 but never did anything with it. I did do a lot of whining and moaning that I wanted to be a writer, but never did anything about it.
I was laid off from an IT job that I despised in 2012. In my moment of despair I said to my husband that I didn’t know what I was going to do now. His words and I quote, “Now you write. You put up or shut up about it.” So I did, and I’ve been writing ever since.
What do you do to unwind and relax?
I do a few things. About a year or so back I caved and got a VR system. I admit it was because there was a particular game I wanted to play. Beat Saber, I play this nearly every day and I have to say I’m pretty good. I certainly wouldn’t video myself doing it for others to see, but I can hold my own!
I also do other gaming. I call myself nerd-adjacent, because I like to game, but not all the time. I ebb and flow. When I ebb though, you’ll find me controlling lives in Sims 2 (only sims 2 because it’s the best out of the franchise. Don’t get me started!) Taking over lands in Age of Empires, or killing squishy things in Ratchet and Clank. I’ve also been known to raid some tomes.
The biggest thing I do to unwind is craft. I work with Sculpey clay and for some time I used to make Christmas bear ornaments. But last year I switched to dragons I’ve come up with a few ideas of different types of dragons. I find this to be very relaxing.

To prevent the rise of evil, rules must be broken.
The assassin, Niviel Darke, is the best in all of Totriga Realm and several others. His services are expensive but worth it. The agency he works for has one rule: protect the client list or die.
The dryad spends his days tending his forest and nights watching the stars. Occasionally, he would use his magic to help visitors bearing gifts. He too lived by one rule: never harm another living creature. Ever.
The assassin and the dryad’s paths cross when a very powerful man, Drummond Amberaull, informed Niviel he has the assassin’s client list. If he wants to protect the list and his life, Niviel must journey to the Dwarf Kingdom for answers. To keep his magic from the High King’s nefarious intentions, the dryad must join Niviel.
Niviel’s plans for the year didn’t entail a five month journey, but he must protect his client list. The dryad only wishes to remain with his forest but the uncertainty of the kings desires for him frightens him more than leaving his life behind. Both are faced with a choice neither wants to make.
