Look at your diet, lifestyle, physical activities, relationships, job, marriage, business, emotional health, hobbies and how you spend your free time. Make a list of what you want to change and then take actions. It is up to you. Maybe you are already eating healthy and exercise regularly, but you have a stressful job. Consider working on stress relief or finding another job. Maybe you have a job you love but you eat unhealthily and don’t exercise. Or maybe you are in an unhappy relationship and don’t do much for your emotional and mental health. Figure out what is holding you back and decide to make changes.
If you really want to change you will find the time, the money, and the solution. Even if you are super busy you can always find ten minutes for a walk in the fresh air, five minutes for meditation and five minutes to prepare a quick, healthy salad. Instead of watching TV or using computer, take half an hour every day to do something for your health. On the weekend you can do significantly more. You can go biking, swimming, running, or dancing with friends. Do something that makes you feel good and is healthy. It is no more complicated or time-consuming to prepare a healthy than an unhealthy meal. Find a few good recipes — there are hundreds on the internet — and try them. Practice is an important word: the changes don’t just happen. We have to practice and repeat these new, healthy choices until they become part of our routine. We must be committed and disciplined.
Everybody’s life circumstances are different, and you are the only one who knows what you need to have a happy, healthy and balanced life. Don’t let anybody criticize your new lifestyle. Don’t let others mitigate your efforts for change. It is your life, your decisions, your lessons, your journey!
